Adobe will stop updating and distributing Flash Player after December 31, 2020. (end-of-life date).
All major browser vendors, block Flash Player making it difficult to view Flash content. At most, they provide an 'allow once' option to allow Flash. Chrome and Firefox have already published their projections around when they'll stop supporting Flash. To know more, see:

- Adobe Media Encoder.exe, SWDNLD.exe, Adobe OnLocation.exe, recorder.exe or Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5.exe are the common file names to indicate the Adobe Shockwave Player installer. The latest version of Adobe Shockwave Player is supported on PCs running Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8/10, both 32 and 64-bit.
In the list of add-ons, look for Shockwave ActiveX Control (another name for Shockwave Player). In the Status column, check to see whether Shockwave ActiveX Control is disabled. If it is, click the row for Shockwave ActiveX Control to highlight it. Enable Shockwave Player on Internet Explorer. Click the Tools (gear) icon. In the pop-up menu that appears, choose Manage Add-Ons. In the dialog box that appears, select Toolbars and Extensions. In the list of add-ons, look for Shockwave ActiveX Control (another name for Shockwave Player). In the Status column, check to see whether Shockwave.
Open standards such as HTML5, WebGL, and WebAssembly can serve as viable alternatives for Flash content. Most websites have since long switched to HTML5, which is a more efficient and secure coding option. Also, the major browser vendors are integrating the open standards into their browsers and deprecating other plug-ins, such as Flash Player.
After 2020, Adobe’s long-term distribution partner, Harman will be the official enterprise distributor for Flash Player. It will provide support and security updates for customers who require commercial support options beyond the EOL date.

3. Install Shockwave Player
After you download Shockwave Player, follow the installation instructions that appear on the download page.
